The One Tiny Color Decision That Will Change Your Entire Painting

Free online workshop:
 17 - 19 Sept 2025

3 Days. One Simple Method. Unlimited Color Confidence.

Make bolder choices
with your colors in...

You know that feeling when your brushstrokes are flowing, your petals are just right…
and yet, when you step back, something feels flat?

Not wrong or terrible. Just… underwhelming.

So you try adding more colors.
You mix until your water turns murky.
You buy “just one more” shade of green or pink, hoping it’s the missing piece.

But instead of magic, you end up with the same safe, quiet palette.

Adding More Colors Doesn’t Work.

Here’s what’s really going on:
The problem isn’t your colors…
It’s how you’re choosing them.

Without a clear color dominance plan before you start, your hues compete for attention instead of working together.

That one decision at the start made without realizing it is how the rest of your painting follows through…

I didn’t always feel confident with color.

In fact, when I first started, I thought the answer was owning every single tube of paint. I remember walking out of an art store in Tokyo with 42 colors, convinced that the “perfect painting” was finally within reach.

But when I got home? I still reached for the same pinks and greens, afraid to try anything else.

Honestly, having more paints didn’t give me better paintings.
It gave me decision fatigue, muddy mixes, and a quiet shame that maybe I just wasn’t “good with color.”

What changed everything was learning to limit my palette and give my colors direction: one leader, one support, one accent. That was when my florals finally felt cohesive, vibrant, and alive.

And that’s why I created this workshop. Not to overwhelm you with more theory or make you feel like you need more paints… but to show you what’s possible with what you already own. To help you see that your “safe” colors aren’t the problem — it’s simply about giving them the right relationship.

I started with a 42 color palette and my paintings still fell flat

But here’s the good news:
When you do make that choice intentionally, everything changes.

Your main color leads with confidence.
Your supporting color creates harmony.
Your accent color commands attention.

And the best part? You don’t need more paints to make it happen.
